7 days

November 19th, 2008

We are exactly at a week of launching the website and so busy that we almost don’t find a moment to write in our blog. We have been working for months in this project and we do not want to forget any detail. It’s the multitask moment: closing of the first e-zine,  production of the next 5 numbers, confirmation of the photographies, agreements for the public presentation of the web, promotional contacts… and meanwhile weekends on the road discovering interesting places to go with the kids.

It’s a very intense stage of my life, which forces me to have my mind in too many things at the time, but also very rewarding. I am meeting people really implicated in the territory who have a contagious vocation, I am enjoying of incredible landscapes and I am discovering deep traditions.

I expect to be able to share all this with you in 7 days. See you!

A new team member

September 29th, 2008

As you must have seen, I am not a very good photographer. Though I enjoy rummaging through my kids’ toys to illustrate this blog, for the e- zine we will need images that speak for their selves. Photos of a particular sensibility. And who better than Jose Carlos León, rewarded with the City of Tarragona’s 2006 Communication award, to complete the team? Besides having an eye for the detail, he knows our territory thoroughly. He will contribute with a professional look and bring with him stories and local anecdotes from lost places of the Tarragona regions, always from a very personal point of view. It will be a pleasure to have him among us. Welcome Jose Carlos!

Pieces that start fitting

July 24th, 2008

A Saturday in February. (I do not even remember the exact day). I search on the internet for a place to go near home with the children. I stay about two hours in front of the computer and in the end I do not find anything and go to the grandparents.

That week I decide to remediate this. I track down the net again searching for tools that help plan a weekend with children. Even though I do not find much of a thing for the region of Tarragona, I have enough material to publish one new post at “el pati dels petits”, a bloc of the parents of my son’s school.

By surprise, it becomes one of the most visited posts. And slowly the pieces start to fit. What was a post, tuned into a project and a business plan. After a while it becomes a serious thing and I present it to the “Women entrepreneurship Awards” of the Regional Government. A month and a half later, I find myself in Valls picking up the recognition to the best project of women until 30 years. The following day: a photo in the Tarragona’s Newspaper and the digital news. ExploraTgn.cat is born!

Welcome to this race towards the first digital edition of an e-zine devoted to family leisure in the Tarragona regions.
