Horta de Sant Joan, Terra Alta

About the place:

Have you ever hugged a rabbit? At the farm Miqueló you can spend a whole day riding, looking for eggs or playing with the goats and sheep while the dogs follow you step by step.

With fantastic views of the Natural park of the Ports, Montse and Miquel have created a small open air oasis where you can become farmers for a while.  You will also find out why the eggs have different colors, where the wool to make sweaters comes from or how fast you the bunnies cam escape from your hands. And if your kids like to ride horses, they can make as many laps as they wish for the same ticket price!

A place to spend a few hours surrounded by animals!

Timetable:

Saturdays and Sundays from 11:00 to 18:00. Easter and Summer holidays open every day.

Price:

Children: 10 € / day (including riding with no time limit within the farm); free entrance for the accompanying adults. 1 hour excursion on horse outside the farm: 15 € / person.

Lunch tips:

You can have a picnic at La Franqueta, where you’ll find barbecues, benches, a playground and WC. You’ll find La Franqueta at the T330 from Horta de Sant Joan to Arnes. You should follow the signs "Ports". Immediately you should take the asphalted road that leads you to La Franqueta. It are 12.7 km. If you prefer to eat at a restaurant, you can go to Mas Cigarrer or the hotel Can Josep in Bot.

You’ll find the Miqueló Farm  at the T330 from Horta de Sant Joan to Arnes. Then take the dirt track at your right side at the restaurant Venta del Rome (on opposite side of the petrol station). You should always follow the blue dots along the main path.
