About the place:

If you ask the children what they know about the bees, surely the first they will say is that they itch. But it is surprising what other bees can do, beside of itching and producing honey. Go to El Perelló, put on a beekeeper dress with the children and discover how the bees live. Did you know that the bumblebee is only useful for warming and airing the beehives and that they are killed if they do not comply this function? Or that the honey can have different tastes depending on which flowers the bee has visited? And above all, without the bees we would have little fruit, since the they aret he big pollinators of the world?

The Muria family has been making honey for moret han two centuries, but it was not until 1999 that Rafael Muria decided to invite the visitors to have a closer look to their profession. He opened a small museum with the tools that his family had been using the last centuries. You will find antique beehives, beekeeper cloths of many years ago and all kind of tools. A brief explanatory video introduces you in a fast way to the bee world and next you will be invited to taste the honey. Afterwards, you go to the field to see how the bees work.

A didactic exit to have a look at the bees very closely!
