Have you ever been 35 meters underground? Put on the helmet, accustom yourselves to the dark and enter into the Mines de Bellmunt del Priorat. A visit that will bring you to one of the 20 floors of galleries where the miners took out the galena, a mineral of lead, since ends of XIX century until 1972. Wagons on rails, real sacle reproductions of miners next to the elevators and giving knocks of sledge-hammer to a pickaxe in order to make holes in the rock… You will not have any problem of imagining how the work in the mine must have been. And when you come out to surface, you will be able to have a look at the industrial complex, formed by the extraction elevator, the engine room, the washtub, the workshops, the warehouses, the foundry and the chimneys. All of this located at unedited place, in the middle of forests and fields of vineyard and olive trees.

16/09-30/06: weekends and festive: 11:00-13:00 and Saturdays at 16:30. 1/07-15/09: closed on Monday (except festive and August); From Tuesday to Saturday: 11:00-13:00 and from 17:00-19:00. Sunday and festive:11:00-13:30. Closed 24/12-15/01.

Price:

Older than 16 years: 5 €; from 10 to 16 years: 4 €; younger than 10 years: free.

And since you at the Priorat, you can enjoy of tasting a good wine. In the restaurant Mas Trucafort they can propose you a few or, if you have decided to buy it in one of the holds of the zone, they will rent you a glass. Besides they have a zone of child games.
