About the place:
Do you know how to distinguish thyme from rosemary? In the Hort de la Sínia they propose you a game to discover the plants and herbs in the garden of senses. You will be able to touch, smell and taste them. You will even have the opportunity to take a basket and cut a few to take home. But first you’ll have to listen to a story under the four branch nettle-tree; a tree with as many branches as there were witches in the Gaià Baix region. Savin, who knew the plants of the beach; Sage, who undesrtood those of the Mediterranean forest; Endive who was an expert in vegetable garden plants and Broom, who knew all about those plants found beside the Gaià river.
An hour and a half of walking around a privileged environment and guided by Joan. The Hort de la Sínia is an agroecological garden where vegetables and aromatic medicine plants are cultivated. You’ll be in the middle of a field and also just a few meters away from Tamarit beach: an incredible contrast.
During springtime and autumn there are many workshops organised to aproach nature to the public (workshops about ecological family horticulture, yoga sessions or an adventure discovering bees). You can also reserve a space and organize a different family outing: harvest your own vegetables and prepare your lunch on the solar oven.

Saturday and Sundays at 11:00 from February until May and from September untill November with previous booking.

Lunch tips:
15 minutes by car (about 10 km) you will find the Farmhouse Caballo de Copas, a restaurant in Catllar where they cook meat on ember.

How to arrive: follow the indications Camping Tamarit. 30 meters before the entry on the left side there is a track. Follow this track about 400m.
