What's the story:
In May the people of Salomó revive with the Dance of the Saint Christ an event that occurred in medieval times when the region suffered from hunger. A rich merchant of Salomó, named Josep Nin, embarked to Alger to find wheat. When he was about to return to his village with the wheat that he had bought from the Muslim Mahomet, he saw a crucifix hidden in the store. The grandfather of Mahomet had left it as a legacy with the obligation to hit it every Friday. The merchant decided to buy it and take it to Salomó. He offered as many silver coins as the crucifix weighted. The balance stood at 30 silver coins, the same Judas had received for betraying Jesus. After a few disputes Josep Nin arrives in Salome with the crucifix. Since then it became the patron of the village.
A performance that combines theater and dance that has been declared of National interest in 1999 and that involves about 125 residents of Salomó. An opportunity together with the family one of the great stories of the patrons in our region.
