What's the story:

For Christmas almost each city and town have its own crib. But some of them are very peculiar. At the end of the Nineties, an association decided to recover the small town of Castelló, next to Vandellòs. So they decided that every year for Christmas they would return the daily life to the town recovering spaces like the eras, the seats and the houses with people demostrating the traditional offices and the activities that years back were typical of Castelló and other towns of our country, like for example the coal bunkers, the works to beat in the era, the corrals or the forge. The whole town becomes a living crib where 325 people participate in the Biblical staging of the birth of Jesus in a Catalan mountain town.

Donkeys, horses, ewes and a good meal of toasted bread with butifarra won’t be missing.
