What's the story:

Have you ever seen how the olive is transformed into oil? You’ll have the opportunity during the Oil Celebration organized by the Alforja Agricultural Cooperative. The cooperative opens its mill to the public to show the whole process of transforming the Arbeca olive into Protected Denomination Siurana Origin virgin extra olive oil.

This event celebrates the arrival of the new oil and started a few years ago to satisfy the curiosity and the desires of the village people for tasting the oil that had just been pressed. Because of this, the tradition of having a good farm breakfast with toast , sausage, bacon, salted sardines and wine has been kept to accompany the tasting of the first oil of the season. And of course, the olive oil that comes out directly from the mill can be bought together with other typical local products.

A unique opportunity to show the children how the oil is made and moreover to let them taste it directly from the source!
