What's the story:

Many villages represent the Passion of Jesus, but in very few of them you have the opportunity to live his last days as part of his courtship. In Vilalba dels Arcs at Easter the streets and squares of the village take us back to the days of Pilates. About 200 residents will make us forget that the town is a stage. The bustle at the front of the church is so real that it seems that everything is happening really. We look very closely at Jesus first meeting with Pilates, how he celebrates the Last Supper, helps children before being captured by the Romans and starts his cavalry until being crucified.

A way for children to live the Holy Week in their own skin.

Lunch tips:

At the end you can recover tasting the local products. You will find the oil, sausages, cakes and white wine. The sweet strong wine has the peculiarity of being produced as it was in the time of Jesus. Is has been harvested by hand, stamped with he feet and amazed with herbs and honey (to keep it better). It is kept in amphorae until it is presented to the public on Holy Thursday. You can also taste the Passion Menu at the Casa de Menjars Moderno (reservations at 977 438 012).

Itinerary of aprox. 2 hours: start point  Plaça de Sant Antoni. You will be passing through the main street to reach the church square where the market is represented. At the Town Hall Square you will see the Last Supper and the trial is held in the park behind the church. The Crucifixion is in the hills just outside the village.

In case of rain, the representation of the Passion will be held in the Sala del Casal Rossinyol.
