About the place:
If you want to visit the region of the Priorat and you search a well communicated restaurant a few kilometers of Siurana, the Montsant or the Carthusian Monastery of Scaladei, do not doubt on making a stop in the restaurant the Venta d'en Pubill.
At the beginning of the 20th century, when only carriages passed the stone road, Dolors Sabaté started to offer a service of sock coffee. Bit by bit the place became the traditional restaurant where now Josefa and the Mª Carmen (daughters-in-law of Dolors) prepare a simple, but very flavorful dishes of home cooking on the ember. The potatoes are still made with the frying pan. You must taste the rabbit with “escalivada” or the sausages with kidney beans. If you prefer, you can enjoy of some tasty traditional breakfasts too.
If it is not too hot, the children can swing a little at the play zone.
A very familiar restaurant.
Timetable:
From Tuesday to Sunday from 9:00 to 12:00 (breakfasts) and from 13:30 to 16:00 (lunches). Closed for holidays from the 1-15/07 and 25-26/12, 1/01 and 6/01.
