Direction tips:

The itinerary starts at the Abella’s Rock area.  To arrive here, you have to take a path that you catch on the T700 road between Poblet and Prades (km 6 and 7). The patht starts there were you see a wooden cross on a stone. If you come from Poblet you’ll find it at your left hand, hidden behind the trees. Leave the main road and take this path until you arrive to a wider picnic zone approximately 1km from the road. Park the car here.

The start point of the itinerary is just in front of the shed where the barbecues are. Cross the ravine. In some periods of the year you will find some water, but if you walk on tiptoe you will not get wet. Immediately you will come to a picnic area with a source. To your right you will see a narrow path that rises and enters the forest. Take it. You’ll have to rise about  until you arrive to a flat way between the trees. All the way is delimited by a sidewalk of stones. 5 minutes later you will have come to a zone more opened area; below you will see a small waterfall. Watch out for the kids in this zone, since there are no fences. To the right you will find a few stairs where you will be able to go down and contemplate a ramification of the river Francolí more closely. Cross the plank of wood and raise the stairs. To your left side you will find a small area of rest with banks in the middle of the bushes. If you turn towards the right following the paved way you will come again, in approximately 10 minutes, to the start point of the route.

The best season:

winter, autumn, summer, spring

Lunch tips:

In the area of playtime of l'Abella's Rock you will find barbecues, tables and a source where you can have a nice picnic. If you want a zone with swings and slides, take the car and continue about 3km on the paves way. At the end you will arrive to the area of Castellfollit, where besides tables and a source, you will find a play zone, and a small esplanade to play to the ball.

For those of you who prefer to enjoy of the Catalan cuisine you will find the Masia Segués about 3 km in direction Poblet. It’s a restaurant with a very large play area and a small farm with hens, a rooster and geese.
