Falset, Priorat

What's the story:

If you think that the visit to Cooperative Winery of Falset will be the typical tour with a wine tasting, you are very wrong. So do not worry if Eleanor, the guide,does not appear. Gregory, (the accountant) or Blai (the guy who uses the forklift) will convert the visit into a show.

To get in tune, a little vermouth and you're ready to laugh with the characters that with some irony will make clear "that you're not in a museum; that people come here to work”. Meanwhile you’ll walk along the modernist winery built in 1919 by the architect Cesar Martinell, a friend and pupil of Antoni Gaudí.

Anecdotes aside, parents and children will leave the building with some notions about how a winery works and which type of wine they produce (DO Montsant). And of course, adults end up tasting a few wines.

Price:

Children up to 4 years: free. From 4 to 12 years: 6 €. Over 12 years: 10 €. Groups of 20persones: 8 €.

Lunch tips:

If you have bought wine and you want to taste it during lunch, at the restaurant Mas Trucafort  they will rent you a glass. Besides they have a zone of child games. If you prefer some great home cooking in a décor of the twenties, go to the Fonda Nacional in Falset.
